What do I do if I cannot see a product that suits my precise requirement?

First download the Product Selector which is in PDF format. If this does not help, please contact our Technical Team at enquiries@teknon.co.uk or call us on +44 (0) 1332 268524. We have designed many bespoke products for clients where they have a particular problem that needs a resolution.

Can I order Teknon products if I am outside the UK?

Yes you can. Due to the variance in transport costs we will have to calculate on an individual basis so please contact us by telephone (+44 (0) 1332 268524) or use the Contact Form on the Contact Us page. We will then be pleased to send you details.

Can you manufacture in larger containers?

Yes. We can supply 205 litre containers and IBCs (1000 litres).

Are Teknon products tested on animals?

No. Teknon products are not tested on animals.

Do I need a water softener in my laboratory glass washing machine?

No. Teknomatic detergent and Teknorinse acid rinse aid are formulated to work effectively in hard and soft water.

Are Teknon laboratory detergents safe to use on glassware?

Yes. Teknon 100, Labtek Liquid and Labtek Powder are ideal for use on borosilicate glass. For Soda glass we recommend Labtek liquid or Neutratek.

How can I clean and disinfect laboratory equipment or process plant?

Use Biocleanse. This concentrated cleaner and disinfectant is effective against a wide range of physical and biological contaminants. Biocleanse has proven efficacy against MRSA, HIV, HBV, E.coli and many others.

I need to remove contaminents from surfaces in ultra-critical applications.

Use Microcleanse. This ultra low residue detergent is a highly effective cleaner with established performance in the fields of semi-conductors and optical equipment.

What aqueous process can be used to clean aluminium components without causing damage?

Multicleanse is a water based detergent that is highly effective as a cleaner and degreaser. Multicleanse is formulated with a balanced alkali system to minimise attack on aluminium.

How does Ultrasonic cleaning work?

High frequency sound waves (above 20kHz) are passed through a liguid cleaner. Pressure changes within the sound waves cause microscopic vacuum bubbles to form. This is called cavitation. Implosion of the bubbles release energy that provides agitation for the cleaning process.

Can I use Ultrasonic cleaning on delicate items?

Yes. Ultrasonic cleaning is highly efficient but very gentle on substrates. Most instruments and materials can be cleaned effectively with ultrasonics.

What product is best to use for Ultrasonic cleaning?

Product selection depends on the substrate to be cleaned and the nature of the contaminant to be removed. From products that are compatible with the substrate, select the one that is appropriate to the major contaminant to be removed.
